此枚光绪元宝江苏省造，钱币正面上缘为“江苏省造”，两侧铸满文，下缘“每元当制钱十文”，中间是直读“光绪元宝”，中心有满文，译成汉字是“宝苏”两字。有珠圈，珠圈是由99个小点组成。

光绪元宝是清朝光绪年间流通的货币之一。光绪元宝是大清光绪年流通大面值货币之首，是我国首批引进海外技术的印发流通货币，其版本众多，当时共有十九个省局铸造，除中央户部，地方省所铸钱币，皆在其正面上缘铸写省名，对于现今也蕴藏了一定历史意义。

背面上缘“KIANG-SOO”，下缘“TEN CASH”，两侧各有一个实心五瓣花，中间图案为“蟠龙图”，龙身矫健，麟须清晰，此钱局铸造的铜币在市面上流通的时间并不是很长，它当年的实际铸造量其实并不多，能流传保存至今的，就显得稀罕，收藏价值也十分可观。
